Can't Open xlsx pptx and docx files ?

What are .pptx .xlsx .docx files ? These are the files created by Office 2007, Up to office 2003 the it was .xls .ppt and .doc Most off them started working in Office 2007. If you create and just save a file from Office 2007, users with previous versions cant open this file.

In this case. When you save a file do “Save as” and select option “ **** 97-2003 Document” from the “file menu” Then the saved file will be compactable for the entire previous versions But what will you do when you get a file with these extensions? Don’t worry! Microsoft released a tool to named “Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack” Using this tool you can convert office 2007 files to the compactable file format for older versions

Windows Live Installer Launches this Week

Microsoft's much discussed attempt to connect cloud storage and services with the desktop may finally come together this week. The NYTimes reports that the company will launch an optional unified installer that provides access to many Windows Live services, including Mail, Messenger and the desktop blogging tool Windows Live Writer:

The software release will offer PC users the option of downloading a set of the services with a single Unified Installer program, or as separate components. The individual services are Windows Live Photo Gallery, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Messenger 8.5 and Windows Live OneCare Family Safety, a computer security program. How To Remove Winfixer

1. Download the Vundo Fix http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4

2. Run VundoFix.exe

3. Place a check in the checkbox labeled 'Run VundoFix as a task'. You will receive a message stating that VundoFix will close and re-open in a minute or less.

4. When VundoFix re-opens, click the OK button.

5. Click the Scan for Vundo button; when it's finished scanner, click the "Remove Vundo" button.

6. You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click Yes. The desktop will go blank temporarily.

7. When complete, restart your computer. The Spyware infection should now be cleaned from y our computer.


If you are still having problems and cannot remove WinFixer / Trojan.Vundo:

1. Download VirtumundoBegone http://secured2k.home.comcast.net/tools/VirtumundoBeGone.exe

2. Reboot your computer into Safe Mode.

3. Double click VirtumundoBeGone.exe and follow the on-screen instructions.

4. Exit when complete, and restart the computer.
